Is stand up paddle a good family activity?
That is a definite yes!!! A stand up paddle session with us on the Merimbula Lake is the perfect, safe and exciting, family holiday activity! In fact, SUP is the perfect activity for everyone!
What do we need to bring?
You don't need to bring along much at all! We recommend some light clothing, e.g. shorts and a t-shirt. If the weather is cool you can wear a light jumper if you like. In the cooler months you may need to bring a wetsuit. During the warmer months, we recommend sunglasses and a hat, and don't forget the sunscreen! We always have emergency sunscreen on hand, so there is no need to panic if you forget. We recommend you bring along some water to drink before the session, we will provide complimentary bottles of water after the session. We are able to lock up your valuables to keep them nice and safe while we are on the water. We will provide everything else you need!
Why are your sessions early in the morning?
To provide you with the best possible experience and the best value for money, we require minimal wind. During summer, the wind can get quite strong (this is called the sea breeze) so it is essential that we get you on the water as early as possible. Trust me, after you have experienced early morning perfection on the Merimbula Lake, you will understand what I mean. Crystal clear water and super smooth, glassy conditions are very common during our early morning sessions. During the cooler months we can be more flexible as the sea breeze does not have such a severe affect. Please call us anytime if you have any further questions. We would love to help you!
