The warmth of the early morning sun streaming across the water. Perfect still mornings and the surface of the Merimbula Lake is like a sheet of glass. Yes, this all means that Summer in Merimbula is knocking on the door. Merimbula offers everything for the stand up paddle boarder. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced SUP enthusiast, Merimbula has something to offer everyone. Michael and Ethan from Albury Wadonga joined me for a SUP session this week and we had a ball!

Recently we participated in the Taste of Eden festival at Boydtown. This event is put on for the P&O cruise ships which are now visiting Eden. At the event we offer a 20 minute mini lesson and tour for the guests of the cruise ship. Locals are also more than welcome to come along and enjoy the festival. Take a close look at the picture below. You can see the cruise ship in the background. Also take note of the perfect paddle conditions! It was a great day. The next Taste of Eden Festival is in November. Stay tuned!
Yesterday morning was just the best on the Merimbula Lake for Nicole and her family. The conditions were so good we even ventured out through the mouth of the lake for a little feel of the ocean! Once again we timed the tide and the wind perfectly to ensure the best, safest experience possible.
Pambula Surf Club hosted their fantastic annual race on the weekend called the Club to Pub. This race usually goes all the way across Merimbula bay from Pambula Beach and finishes at the Lakeview Hotel just opposite the Merimbula Marina. This year due to the nasty ocean conditions, it was held in the Pambula River. This is a 10 km event and it was very testing this year in the harsh, windy conditions.
